Agile Space (Fund II) Closes Oversubscribed $17M Series A to Accelerate In-Space Propulsion at Scale

McLean, VA — February 19, 2026 — Veteran Ventures Capital (VVC) is proud to announce its continued participation in the $17 million Series A financing of Agile Space Industries (Fund II), a leading provider of chemical in-space propulsion headquartered in Durango, Colorado. The round was led by Caruso Ventures and Howdy Partners, with participation from Lockheed Martin Ventures, Denver Ventures, and Cortado Ventures. Strong investor demand pushed the round past its initial $15 million target — with more than 70% of capital committed by existing investors — bringing Agile's total funding to approximately $40 million.

Agile will supply its DS250 thrusters, a 250-Newton, bipropellant rocket thruster optimized for high-reliability in-space maneuvering. The thrusters will be integrated into TEC’s Nyx vehicle, a modular and reusable capsule developed to support a variety of orbital missions, including cargo transport to the low Earth orbit, and a rendezvous docking to the ISS.

Agile Space Industries designs, manufactures, and qualifies chemical propulsion systems for spacecraft operating across commercial, civil, and national security missions. Founded in 2009, the company has built its reputation on a simple but powerful commitment: deliver high-performing propulsion on time, every time. That discipline has translated into compounding business momentum. Agile has been cash positive for the past 18 months, carries approximately $60 million in contracted backlog, and has grown its workforce from roughly 50 employees in 2023 to more than 130 today.

This Series A is growth capital. Agile's order volumes have scaled dramatically, with individual contracts now running into the hundreds and thousands of thruster units. The new funding will be deployed to expand manufacturing capacity and testing infrastructure to match that demand without sacrificing the delivery reliability that defines the company's brand. In January, Agile broke ground on the first section of a new test facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, developed in partnership with The Artemis Group, the City of Tulsa, and the Tulsa Regional Chamber. The facility is designed not only to expand Agile's own throughput, but to serve as a shared testing resource for the broader propulsion market — creating a new revenue stream while strengthening the industrial base.

The company's recent contract wins reflect the breadth of Agile's market position. Agile was selected to provide propulsion systems for The Exploration Company's Nyx spacecraft; its test infrastructure is supporting Firefly's lunar program; and the company teamed with True Anomaly to supply engines, thrusters, and tanks for the Department of Defense's VICTUS HAZE rendezvous and proximity operations mission. Agile is also pursuing Golden Dome contracts targeting space-based intercept capabilities — work that sits squarely at the intersection of propulsion technology and national security.

VVC's investment in this round deepens a relationship built across multiple stages of Agile's growth. Agile exemplifies the profile of companies VVC was built to back: veteran-aligned, mission-driven, dual-use, and operating in sectors where technological advantage translates directly into national security outcomes. In-space propulsion underpins nearly every mission architecture — from satellite servicing and orbital mobility to lunar logistics and space domain awareness. As those missions multiply and scale, the industrial capacity to support them becomes a strategic imperative, not merely a commercial opportunity.

"Agile has earned every bit of the market's confidence," said Joshua Weed, General Partner at Veteran Ventures Capital. "They have built a propulsion company that primes and government customers come back to again and again, not because there's no alternative, but because Agile delivers. This round gives them the runway to meet a rapidly expanding order book while continuing to invest in the infrastructure this industry needs. We are proud to continue backing Chris and the entire Agile team as they scale."

Agile’s groundbreaking of the initial $20M phase establishing the Space Test Center (STC) in Tulsa, a multi-phase hot-fire rocket engine test facility designed to address a critical shortage of responsive, altitude-capable propulsion testing infrastructure for the global space industry.

With the Series A closed, Agile is positioned to potentially double its revenue in the coming year, backed by contracted programs, a growing testing services business, and an expanding product line that now includes precision propellant management tanks alongside its core thruster offerings. For VVC, this investment reinforces the firm's conviction that the companies building the unsexy-but-essential infrastructure of space — propulsion, power, manufacturing — are the ones that will define the next era of the industry.
