Veteran Ventures Invests in Tidal Cyber, Bringing Threat-Informed Defense to Cybersecurity Operators
We are proud to announce our latest investment into Tidal Cyber (“Tidal”). Led by U.S. Navy Veteran Rick Gordon, Tidal’s leadership team consists of threat intelligence veterans with experience at MITRE, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and a wide range of innovation security providers. Operating in the $150B global cybersecurity market, Tidal’s threat-informed cybersecurity defense platform empowers organizations to develop a deep understanding of their threats and defenses, and continually tracks threat profiles as adversaries evolve. Tidal’s enterprise customers are optimizing their cybersecurity defenses quickly to save time and money, and maximizing the value they receive from the vendors and products in their security stack.
Tidal Cyber provides an easy-to-use framework to embed MITRE ATT&CK, a knowledge base of specific adversarial tactics and techniques powered by real-world observations. The platform provides capabilities that allow the team to:

We are proud to invest and partner with the Tidal Cyber team having originally developed our relationship with them in 2022. In 2023, Tidal has capitalized on a variety of sales channels leveraging their license-based SaaS model. Design partners have included SAIC, USAA, and Markel Corporation as they expand Tidal’s customer base to financial services, healthcare, and technology companies.
