GENERAL PARTNER | CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Craig Jaques is a General Partner and the Chief Operating Officer at Veteran Ventures Capital. With a career spanning nonprofit leadership, international contracting, defense-adjacent technology, and private equity-backed growth, Craig brings a unique operational lens to venture investing. He is deeply engaged in identifying, supporting, and scaling dual-use national security technologies that meet urgent real-world needs.
Prior to joining VVC, Craig led U.S. expansion for the fastest-growing exports company in Australia, delivering expeditionary healthcare solutions to defense and government clients. His earlier work includes managing humanitarian and disaster relief missions with the U.S. Navy across more than 20 countries—efforts that earned him the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Throughout his career, Craig has developed a reputation for navigating complex, highly regulated environments and partnering with leadership teams to drive execution.
Craig lives in Hawaii with his wife and three children on a working farm, which also places him near U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. This proximity has enabled years of close collaboration with the defense community, including early work with fellow VVC General Partner Steve Kiser, focused on tech scouting and real-world experimentation for the Department of Defense.
